Understand what appears in the portal
The portal shows only the pages available to your organization and allowed by your permissions. A page or an entire section can be absent when:
- your organization does not have the related feature;
- your role does not have the required permission; or
- no page in that section is available to you.
This is expected access control, not necessarily a portal error. If a page you need is missing, ask an organization administrator to review your access. Contact Peak Support if the feature or store setup itself needs to change.
Dashboard is pinned near the top of the navigation when you can view selected-store sales or inventory. Peak AI is also pinned when the organization has Peak AI and your role can use it. Other conditional entries follow the same feature-and-permission rules.

Dashboard
Use Dashboard for a selected-store view of sales and inventory status. Check the selected store before relying on its figures.
Store Operations
Use this section for day-to-day sales, customer, terminal, and store-team work:
- Sales & Payments
- Return History
- Settlement Batches
- Invoices
- Virtual Terminal
- Customers
- Households
- Terminals
- Document Builder
- Delivery Orders
- Staff
Most entries act on the selected store. Households and Document Builder are organization-scoped, while Staff in this section is the selected-store staff roster. The entries you see depend on your organization's features and your role.
Use Sales & Payments for transaction review and reconciliation, Returns and Settlements for return audits and Gateway batches, Virtual Terminal and Invoices for keyed sales and receivables, and Customers and Delivery Orders for customer, household, and order work.
Shifts
Use this selected-store section for:
- Schedule
- Service Reporting
- Check-ins
- Cash Management
Follow Shifts and Cash Management for the procedures and access boundaries for these tasks.
Catalog & Inventory
Use this selected-store section to maintain items and stock:
- Products
- Inventory
- Transfers
- Serialized Inventory
- Purchase Orders
- Promotions
- Bundles
- Bottle Deposits
Start with Products and Inventory for the core catalog and stock workflows. Use Inventory, Transfers, and Serialized Stock for inventory movement and traceability, and Purchasing, Promotions, Bundles, and Bottle Deposits for purchasing and catalog programs.
Reports
Use Reports for selected-store sales and inventory reporting. Use Scheduled Exports to manage report emails for the selected store. Each entry has its own reporting permission requirements. See Reports, Settings, and Compliance for the complete reporting and settings workflows.
Settings
Use Settings for selected-store operational defaults. Depending on your access and enabled features, this section can also include Compliance, Restricted Sales Review, and SMS Consent.
Store identity is not edited on Settings. Use Organization → Locations for the store name, address, and phone. See Store Setup for the ownership boundaries.
Organization
Use this section for organization-wide records and administration:
- Overview
- Organization
- PeakPOS Pricing
- Locations
- Staff
- Categories
- Suppliers
- Tax
- Store Tax Policy
- Jurisdictions
- Exemptions
- Audit Log
- Loyalty Program
- Loyalty Analytics
- Gift Cards
- Marketing
- Customer Display Ads
- Wallet Pass Branding
- Access
Most entries are organization-scoped. Store Tax Policy is the exception: it inspects and previews checkout tax policy for the selected store. Peak Support owns store tax policy changes.
Use Organization, Tax, and Loyalty for organization administration and tax or loyalty work. Use Gift Cards and Marketing for gift cards, campaigns, display advertising, and wallet-pass branding.
Integrations
Use Integrations → General to review provider availability, connection health, and supported next actions. Integration-specific entries appear only when they are available to your organization and your role can access them. See Integrations for the current merchant workflow.
